After a successful participation at the K2016 in Düsseldorf, world’s largest international trade fair for plastics and rubber, BIOTEC was also represented at Ecomondo in Rimini, Italy. Being held annually, Ecomondo just celebrated its 20th edition. It attracted more than 100.000 visitors and 1200 companies to show its newest developments.
Ecomondo is an international trade fair for material and energy, giving exhibitors the opportunity to present its solutions for complicated specific environmental problems. BIOTEC is addressing the scarcity of oil and the preservation of the environment by offering alternative solutions; sustainable bioplastics made from plant-based renewable resources. The BIOPLAST resins can be used to produce biodegradable and compostable products for flexible and rigid technical applications.
At both trade fairs, BIOTEC’s booth attracted many visitors who were keen to learn more about BIOPLAST’s wide range of applications. BIOTEC could establish a lot of interesting contacts and broaden its professional network. Especially BIOTEC’s new developments BIOPLAST 300, 400 and 500 caught the attention of the visitors. The products have biobased carbon shares of 30%, 40% and 50% respectively and are certified with “OK Compost” and “OK Compost HOME”. More information about BIOPLAST can be found on the website.
