On May 16th, the general assembly of European Bioplastics has elected a new board for the next two years. Peter Brunk, managing director for operations at BIOTEC, has been elected member of the board. He will be in charge, with his colleagues, of determining the strategic and operational direction of the association.
He was elected with François de Bie (Purac), Mariagiovanna Vetere (NatureWorks), Stefano Facco (Novamont), Jürgen Keck (BASF) Rainer Schweda (Braskem) and Johnny Pallot (Roquette).
“This appointment is an opportunity for BIOTEC to participate even more intensely in the growth and recognition of our sector. I am very proud of this election and will work to promote bioplastics and sustainable options. This is also a recognition of BIOTEC importance and leadership in the bioplastics world” says Peter Brunk.
Peter Brunk joined BIOTEC in July 2010 as a Managing Director; he is responsible for Sales and Operations. He studied Business Administration (Diplom-Kaufmann) at the University of Bamberg. Before joining BIOTEC he has been working for more than 10 years in the pharmaceutical industry and 8 years in the consumer goods sector.
