More than 330 senior executives from across the bioplastics value chain attended this year’s edition of the European Bioplastics Conference and caught up on the latest developments and trends in the bioplastics industry in Europe. This business and discussion forum has evolved into the most important business dialogue for the bioplastics industry.
For BIOTEC, the conference was the ideal platform to present its ultra-light weight bags made from BIOPLAST 400, that has a renewable carbon share of 40%. These ultra-light weight bags are already replacing the conventional fruit and vegetable bags used in supermarkets in France. Furthermore, BIOTEC offered some “fresh fruits to go” to the other participants. In addition, the conference was highly informative due to many interesting speeches. Jean-Marc Nony, Sustainable Development Director of the SPhere group, gave a highly informative overview of the legislation and market development for bioplastic bags in Southern Europe.”
